Fund Purpose
- People and carers who are assessed as not requiring an SDS budget feel empowered and positive about their futures and able to work towards leading healthier more independent lives
- People and carers receiving one-to-one advocacy support feel better equipped to engage in social care assessments and reviews and feel empowered to offer challenge where necessary
- Third Sector Staff, Community Members, Volunteers are able to have personal outcomes discussions with individuals supporting them to direct their own care through accessing existing community assets
- Third Sector Staff, Community Members, Volunteers, people and carers understand what the SDS is (beyond and including individual budgets) and the value of it to improving lives. They feel empowered to share and use this information
- The use of SDS across the Third Sector is co-ordinated and monitored robustly and its impact on individuals shared

Award Process
- Award letters issued to both organisations in Oct 2021, covering the period up to end of projects in March 2023
- Host organisations submit quarterly invoices
- Once satisfied all paperwork is present and correct, Finance staff will process each invoice in Xero and SMCS approves it on system, Funds are then released to project in next payment run
Reporting by funded projects
Projects submit evaluation forms to VANL biannually, covering the periods October-March and April-September. The reports are submitted to Inspiring Scotland biannually.
Reporting by VANL to funder
VANL reports on SiRD in the annual Community Solutions Impact and Learning report, with an aim to publish in September.
