Locality Hosts and Consortia

The Community Solutions Programme is committed to a “co-production” approach to development, delivery, evaluation, learning and improvement – involving residents, service users, carers, community and voluntary sector (CVS) organisations and statutory organisations.

This approach is supported at locality level through:

six key CVS "anchor" organisations called Community Solutions “Locality Hosts”

six Community Solutions Consortia, with members drawn from local CVS organisations and statutory sector

Community Solutions Locality Hosts:

are the main local point of contact for the Community Solutions programme.

convene and support their local consortia and facilitate links to the nine Community Boards

support Consortia members to develop and agree a Community Solutions Improving Lives Locality Development Plan (LDP) which sets out priorities for local capacity building and the Community Solutions Improving Lives Locality Activities Fund (LAF) and is informed by:

resident, service user and carers’ views and priorities

local Need Profiles

Community Solutions Strategy and Investment Plan

nine Locality Outcome Improvement Plans (LOIPS)

support capacity building of local CVS organisations, including assistance in applying to the LAF and providing progress reports

are active members of the North Lanarkshire-wide Community Solutions Locality Host Network, convened by Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL)

liaise with VANL staff to support their locality role ensure LAF is managed appropriately.

The Community Solutions Locality Consortia are forums that bring together representatives from local CVS organisations and health and social care statutory services.  Members work together to with support from Locality Hosts as above to:

develop, agree and implement the Community Solutions LDP

support capacity building of local CVS organisations

review applications to LAF and agree funding awards
