New £22 million Chryston Community Hub has officially opened

The new Chryston Community Hub was officially opened at a recent special event in front of pupils, parents and staff.

The £22million state-of-the-art facility is home to Chryston Primary School and the new Community Health Clinic which replaced Muirhead Clinic.

The brand new £3.65 million state-of-the-art community health clinic in Chryston features 17 clinical rooms over 682 square metres. It provides a variety of community services ranging from midwifery and health visitors to breastfeeding support and treatment rooms.

Speaking at the opening, NHS Lanarkshire Chair, Martin Hill, said: “Ultimately, the building showcases the true potential of a community hub. Good health is an integral part of thriving communities and helping people to lead healthier lives. I’m sure the new hub will pay dividends in future and will benefit local people of all ages now and for many years to come.”
