Children, Young People and Families Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund (Phase 6)

Community Transition Group

Description: Support for parents and autistic children in learning to adapt to new environments and empower families to be able to engage in their communities, also increasing confidence and mental wellbeing for the children. 

Personalised Intensive Support 

Clusters: Brannock, Calderhead, Caldervale, Coltness, OLH Motherwell, St Aidan’s, St Maurice, Taylor

Total Funding: £24,076.00

Description: Support for autistic children in order to identify their needs, strengths and challenges, as well as support for families and school to come up with ways to reach positive outcomes for the child.

Autistic Adults Together - Community Support

Locality: NL Wide

Total Funding: £37,298.40

Description: To enhance knowledge and understanding of autism among adults, focusing on mental health risks, indicators, support strategies, and resilience-building in secondary schools, colleges, organisations, and among parents/carers. This includes helping individuals recognise their strengths and challenges while guiding them to seek appropriate support.

Cluster Family Training

Clusters: Calderhead, Coatbridge, Kilsyth

Total Funding: £2,450.92

Description: Provide the families of autistic children with information and the space to discuss their child’s autism, increasing confidence, resilience and mental health and wellbeing across the whole family.

Personalised Intensive Support

Clusters: Calderhead, Coltness, Kilsyth, OLH Motherwell, St Aidan's, St Andrews, St Maurice

Total Funding: £27,042.24

Description: Support for autistic children in order to identify their needs, strengths and challenges, as well as support for families and school to come up with ways to reach positive outcomes for the child.

Neurobears

Cluster: Greenfaulds

Total Funding: £313.17

Description: Facilitate a space for autistic children to explore their autism and support them to develop their understanding, improving their confidence and wellbeing. 

Lunch Club & Nurture Space

Cluster: Cardinal Newman

Total Funding: £1,744.71

Description: Deliver a lunch club for autistic students to interact with other autistic students, creating a sense of community within the school and allowing them a space to regulate and get ready for the afternoon. This enables them to better manage their anxiety and reduce feelings of isolation.
