Active Funds
The Community Solutions programme invests funds in community and voluntary sector organisations across North Lanarkshire to improve local people’s health and wellbeing. Since its creation in 2012, the programme has invested funding from University Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Council, NHS Lanarkshire and the Scottish Government. Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL) manages these funds on behalf of funders, supported by the programme’s governance arrangements and various award processes involving others.
All Community Solutions funded organisations are required to provide information about their services to the national; 'A Local Information System for Scotland' - ALISS to help local people needing support find information readily.
To add your organisation’s activities and contact information to ALISS or to search for existing projects and other organisations, please use the ALISS website
Funding for the above Community Solutions Funds is provided through several sources, including:
- Health and Social Care North Lanarkshire
- MacMillan Cancer Support
- NHS Lanarkshire
- NHS Charities Together
- North Lanarkshire Council
- Scottish Government
Community Solutions funds are managed on behalf of funders and the programme by Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire as “custodian funds”.
