The Scottish Recovery Network have launched a new resource to help groups, organisations and services offer community-based peer support as part of suicide prevention activities.
Peer support has a significant role to play in suicide prevention. Collaborating with local and national partners, Creating Hope with Peer Support is helping develop peer support groups across Scotland.
They’ve been working alongside a range of groups and organisations already delivering peer support to co-design and pilot this resource. Now available to everyone, this practical and adaptable resource will help to train those offering peer support to people affected by suicide.
The new Creating Hope with Peer Support resource is available below, and SRN will be delivering a calendar of activities across 2024/25.
